2014 A - F Letter Grades - AIMS The State of Arizona utilizes AIMS to measure student growth. In measuring student growth, the State of Arizona then identifies school labels. This information includes: All schools have a total of 100 points towards growth calculations. Every student with a valid test score in 2013 and 2014 receive a Student Growth Percentile (SGP). A composite score also provides 100 points possible. Growth Score + Composite Score = A - F Letter Grade (100 points) + (100 + 3 + 3 +3 points possible) = 200+ points possible

State of Arizona student count reports are only Full Academic Year (FAY) students tested in Math and Reading. FAY students are students that are enrolled within the first 10 days of school start date. This means the students have to be continuously enrolled until the first date of the testing window. Student Growth includes student’s percent passing + additional points. Composite Score includes: Percent passing on the spring 2014 AIMS and AIMS A in reading and math only. o English Language Learners (ELL) students who are proficient (with 3 or less years in the program) receive 3 additional points. o Students have fell far below (FFB) in 3rd grade reading and 8th grade math and who improve with an average rate receive additional points. o High School follows the same format, except receive additional points for the o Graduation Component and dropout rate.
