2. Project Overview Two different types of cataloging: 1) Dewey decimal classification. 2) Library of congress system. U.S libraries are switching from DDC to LC. USD Copley Library Decided to change its cataloging system to LC in January 1997.

3. Problems With DDC Call numbers are too long and too confusing. Copley library was one of the few libraries that was using DDC. High costs.
