Resumes Why do I need one and how do I develop one?

Why write a resume? ► To increase your chances of being hired ► To increase your chances of being accepted at a major university ► To highlight your assets compared to the other applicants

Developing Your Resume Include: ► your name ► address ► phone number ► education ► work experience

Developing Your Resume Include: ► job objective (which states what type of position you are seeking) ► awards and honors you've received ► contact information for three references (email or phone number)

Developing Your Resume ► Make a strong first impression on paper ► Keep it short — one page, if possible ► Be neat; print your resume on a quality desktop printer.
