Noun= Person, Place, Thing, or Idea Common= Non-specific Proper= Specific, Capitalized Collective= Refers to group Compound= Two words referring to one noun Concrete= Can feel or see Abstract= Cannot feel or see

Assign groups Give each group whiteboard, marker, eraser Explain directions: Listen to the directions, which will tell you the type of noun you are to identify Correctly identify and spell the specified noun in each of the given sentences. Hold up your sign. The first team to get it correct gets a point.
