3 Find Your Target… Find your audience- broad cast survey Determine what your audience wants and how they want to hear it Base your response and goals on what your Young Agents are looking for

5 Circle the Target Reach out to everyone. Those who have aged out of YA, are converted to Charter Members, keep Agency Principals and your State Association Board in the loop. Buy in of your State Board members and the Agency Principals is key. Offer communication in different ways, email, fax, mail, newsletters, facebook, website, in person.

7 Put Yourself Out There The best way to get the word out is to have a presence. Young Agent Column in “The Anchor”, the IIARI Magazine Publication Conduct Joint events with other Young Professional Groups Host a Young Agent Booth at your state’s annual convention Visit to Young Agent Licensing Classes Have Partners promote YA’s on Agency visits Young Agent presence at state local and area Industry events whenever possible

9 Showing Value Kick off with an Association event. Round Robin with State Association Committee Chairs and State Association President to show Young Agents the value of the Association and how they can get more involved Offer more than your standard fair, we sponsored a flex time CPIA designation course for all Young Agents interested. Fundraising and Volunteering Opportunities to show value to members, principals and the general public.

11 Follow Through Follow up via phone calls, emails, and mail Sending updated annual surveys, and continuing to tailor your responses as needed Continue to spread the word about Young Agents Make sure new attendees are welcomed and included A separate Welcome email from State Liaison and Committee Chair for new members Committee meets monthly for review and planning
