2.  You are earning a  Multiple Subject  2042  Preliminary Credential  This credential has the English Learner (EL) Authorization embedded in it so you don’t need to add anything to meet that criteria.  This credential is good for five years.

3.  You will receive a Pre-Evaluation Report identifying the documents needed and requirements left to meet at the beginning of student teaching. This is like a Grad Check. It is your job to read your report, ask any questions and make sure your file is ready before you apply.

4.  You can apply as you start your last quarter in the program BUT the recommendation will not be made until your grades have posted from your final quarter. It takes 2 to 4 weeks after grades have posted for the recommendation to be made.  You can also apply any time during or after your last quarter when you have met all the requirements.

5.  Transcripts (admission requirement)  CBEST and CSET scores (admission requirement)  TPAs (passing grades in Assessment Seminars)  RICA scores (must bring in passing scores)  CPR – Adult, child, infant CPR current card  US Constitution (on transcript for CSUSB but others may need to check on this)  Passing all credential coursework with a B- or better.

6.  You’ll find everything you need at the following website http://coe.csusb.edu/offices/credential_processing.htm You have three options – on-line, in person or by mail. You need a credit card and your CSUSB email address There is a $25 fee for the credential recommendation from CSUSB and a credential application fee payable to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
