Homework (for 3 Cr) Attendance: mandatory, but you can miss 2/8 talks Part 1 –List three main messages from each speaker using bullet points –Give a grade for the speaker (1 to 5, 5 is the best) –You may also give additional comments to speakers or course staff Part 2 –1) technical perspective, 2) business perspective, and 3) most entertaining –6-10 full sentences for each (i.e., no bullet points) –You cannot choose the same lecture twice Part 3 –Write an essay on Internet of Things (IoT). –What does it mean? Motivation. Goals. Roadmap. –At least 10 references to documents (Excluding web links). –4 pages, single column, not including references.

Homework Returning the homework Write all parts into one file (txt, word or pdf) in English Name the document like this: student-id_last-name_12.pdf (e.g. 12345A_Teekkari_12.pdf) student-id_last-name_3.pdf (e.g. 12345A_Teekkari_3.pdf) Upload the files to the TurnItIn module in Mycourses DL is Friday 18 th December 2015

Exam (For extra 2 Cr) Based on the lectures and exam book –Five questions: one is based on lectures and four on the exam book –The focus of exam is rather cross-disciplinary than technical Exam book –The Network Society, 3rd Edition, Jan Van Djik Exam dates 1.Dec 16th 2015 16:30 -19:30 R004/S4 A202 2.Feb 8th 2016 16:30 -19:30 R004/S1 A102 If you fail the exam(s), you will still get 3 ECTS from lectures and homework
