17 Outcome of Surveillance and Monitoring of pest and disease CROPSAP Project There were huge crop losses due to pest attack on soybean crop in 2008-09. Through this project, pest incidence on Rice, Soybean, Cotton, Tur and Gram crops is scientifically and rigorously monitored on-line. Experts send advice on-line to Field Officers and advisory SMS are sent to farmers. 3.90 lakh farmers registered for this service.
