Simon Peter was a simple fisherman. When he met with our Lord Jesus Christ, his life was entirely changed. Instead of being a FISHERMAN, he became a FISHER OF MAN. When Jesus asked him to launch out into the deep and let down his nets for a catch. Even though, they have toiled all night and caught nothing; at Jesus’ word he let down the net.” When they caught lots of fish, He asked Jesus to depart from his boat as he felt not worthy because of his sins.

Jesus changed Simon’s name to Cephas, which is translated “a Stone” or “Peter”. Jesus told Peter from now on you became a FISHER OF MAN not a FISHERMAN. IMMEDIATELY, Peter left everything and followed Jesus.

Little Faith to Great Faith Little Faith Peter was able to walk on water when Jesus commanded him. BUT when he doubted, he started to sink and Jesus saved him from drowning. Great Faith Peter was the only disciple who confessed boldly that Jesus is Christ the Son of the living God

Spontaneous, Fearful and Hasty to Cautious, Courageous and Bold The night of Jesus’ crucifixion, Peter affirmed that he would never deny Jesus. But the same night, he denied him three times out of weakness. On the day of the Pentecost, Peter boldly preached the Word of God and three thousand people accepted the faith and were baptized.

If we want our hearts to be soft like dough so we can make changes in our life, we have to: Keeping God’s commandments and realizing when we have a problem that needs to be fixed. Be willing to change what is wrong in our life. Ask for God’s help and His grace will work in us and help us to change for the better
