Compare this model to your example & explanation sentences Secondly, these animals can cost a lot of money (2). Feeding a tiger, crocodile, or python is much different than going to a local store to buy dog- food. The cages or shelters they need can also cost a lot of money. For instance, the article notes that Felicia’s parents spend hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to care for the tiger (2 ). Example / reason it is bad. I got this idea from the article. These are my thoughts to explain the cost. No page number. This is a quote from the story to use as an explanation. It needs a page number.

Editing & Revising: You should spent AT LEAST 10 minutes on this 1. First read. Read through your entire paragraph OUT LOUD (by whispering under your breath). When you come across sentences/words/ideas that sound weird, fix them! 2. Second read. Since it is assumed that you have already run spell check, double check your paper for: words that might not be spelled “wrong,” but they are not the correct spelling for what you mean appropriate capital letters—if it is capitalized in the article, it should be capitalized in your essay! The spelling, capitalization, and punctuation of the article match the prompt Page numbers—they should be there AND they should be formatted correctly! Transition words: don’t forget them in your topic sentences, either! Contractions: didn’t, shouldn’t, can’t, won’t,etc. REMEMBER TO READ CHAPTERS 39-42 for Tuesday!!

Remember that when you copy and paste your words from Pages, sometimes the formatting changes a a bit. 4. Make sure the “Can Edit” option is selected. 5.
