1. Installation of nephelometer Remove 4 screws from top round plate of instrument (will need a Phillips head screw driver) turn “neph” upside down (careful that top plate doesn’t fall out) and place in rack between top angle brackets and bottom base plate. screw in 4 Phillips head screws into base plate and instrument attach 4 bolts (need 3/8” wrench and socket wrench) into the instrument square plate and the angle brackets. attach the inlet to the humidifier with a 7/8” wrench attach the outlet to the flow meter with a 7/8” wrench attach the RH sensor cable on the outlet to the “Vaisala Humitter” connector on the neph attach a similar gray cable on the instrument rack to the “T/U Sensor output” connector on the neph attach the power cable to the instrument. this is a phono plug cable attach the 9 pin computer cable to the instrument attach the water reservoir to the top plate of the instrument with 2 screws and 2 bolts. Attach the velcro strap around the water reservoir.

2. Remove 4 screws from top round plate of instrument (will need a Phillips head screw driver) turn “neph” upside down (careful that top plate doesn’t fall out) and place in rack between top angle brackets and bottom base plate. screw in 4 Phillips head screws into base plate and instrument place screws in bottom of plate through instrument base

3. attach 4 bolts (need 3/8” wrench and 3/8” socket wrench) into the instrument square plate and the top angle brackets. tools are in bottom shelve of white plastic shelf case w/wheels Bolts (forgot to send these with the instrument. Will FedEx them to you next day)

4. attach the inlet to the humidifier with a 7/8” wrench attach the outlet to the RH sensor and flow meter with a 7/8” wrench inlet flow meter on outlet

5. attach the RH sensor cable on the outlet to the “Vaisala Humitter” connector on the neph attach a similar gray cable on the instrument rack to the “T/U Sensor output” connector on the neph

6. attach the power cable to the instrument. This is a phono plug cable. Attach the 9 pin computer cable to the instrument. You’ll need to use a small flat-head screwdriver to attach the 9 pin cable to the neph. Power Cable 9 pin computer cable

7. attach the water reservoir to the top plate of the instrument with 2 screws and 2 bolts. Attach the velcro strap around the water reservoir. screws need to attach strap (strap not attached in photo)
