9 Level 3 options are 2 Year courses, worth one AS Level after 1 Year and a Full A Level after 2 Years. They involve 6 LESSONS PER WEEK. The exceptions to this are Childcare (Full timetable, worth 3 A Levels), Further Mathematics (12 lessons per week, worth 2 A Levels) and HSLA (worth ¼ of an A Level). There are two broad types of course, A LEVEL and APPLIED. Both are of equal value in terms of points for entry to University courses. Level 3 students create a programme of study involving 3 or 4 Level 3 courses, and if needed an Enrichment Course to fill gaps in qualifications or experience.
