La bûche de Noël Christmas log dates back to middle- ages and was created from pagan rites. Generally in French speaking countries people finish the Christmas dinner with a Christmas log.

In the past people burnt a big wooden log on Christmas eve.

Recipe 4 eggs. 250g chocolate 140g sugar. 200 butter 11g baking soda Usually The christmas log, was sponge biscuit where a butter cream was spread. The cream was flavoured with coffee, chocolate or Grand Marnier. After the biscuit is rolled to give it the shape of a log.

The Log today Today there are of different kinds of logs : -Chocolate -Strawberry - passion fruit - vanilla and mango

Gustave Eiffel vocational school and the log This year some students in the bakery section at Gustave Eiffel vocational school created a Christmas log. It looks very tasty and you can win one in a competition on the local radio
