1 Problem of the Day You have three drinking glasses labeled A, B, and C with a total of 72 mL of water in the three of them in different amounts per glass. You pour half the contents of B into A. Then you pour 1/5 of the new contents of A into C. Now all three glasses have 24 mL in them. How many mL did each glass contain before you started pouring?

2 Problem of the Day The glasses [A, B, C] originally had [6, 48, 18] mL respectively. After all the pouring, B contains half of what it originally had, so it started at 48 mL and lost 24 in pouring. An eqation for the amount originally in A is 4/5[A+24]=24. Solving, A=6. Then we calculate C=72-24-6=18.)
