3. Net Force The overall force on an object Found by combining all the forces acting on an object  When two forces act together they are added  When two forces work against one another they are combined subtracting the smaller from the larger.

4. Unbalanced Forces Can cause an object to start moving, stop moving or change direction Unbalanced forces acting on an object will change the object’s motion

5. Balanced Forces Equal forces acting in opposite directions. Balanced forces acting on an object will not change the object’s motion.
