2 Aim  To produce a set of recommendations for redesign of the NHS Scotland e-Library and Knowledge Portals

3 Background  User consultation has been minimal in the past  Feedback – rationalisation and simplification of interface required  New developments:  Cross-searching  More emphasis on personalisation  Expansion in Portals  Other growth areas in Implementation Plan

6 Parallel 56 approach  Initial assessment of current e-Library  Production of designs – wireframes and html templates  3 phases of iterative usability testing, each with 10 users  1 dedicated phase for cross-searching  Reports on findings after each stage of testing  Amendments to design templates after each stage of testing  Final report on recommendations and final set of wireframes/templates produced
