Aim To produce a set of recommendations for redesign of the NHS Scotland e-Library and Knowledge Portals

Background User consultation has been minimal in the past Feedback – rationalisation and simplification of interface required New developments: Cross-searching More emphasis on personalisation Expansion in Portals Other growth areas in Implementation Plan

Parallel 56 approach Initial assessment of current e-Library Production of designs – wireframes and html templates 3 phases of iterative usability testing, each with 10 users 1 dedicated phase for cross-searching Reports on findings after each stage of testing Amendments to design templates after each stage of testing Final report on recommendations and final set of wireframes/templates produced
