Boils – inflammation of the hair follicle and sebaceous glands. Common on neck

Cold Sore – Small fluid filled blister caused by herpes simplex. Virus localizes in a nerve and remains dormant until activated by stress, fever or UV radiation

Contact Dermatitus – Allergic response to a chemical (poison ivy)

Impetigo – Pink inflammation that become yellow and crusty and eventually burst. Very contagious!

Psoriasis – A chronic condition characterized by redness and silvery scales. Can be disfiguring. Cause is unknown. May be genetic or stress related

Ring worm – a fungal infection of the skin. Very contagious!
