3 3 March 2002 Workshop Workshop Objectives The objective of the Verizon Wholesale CLEC Ordering Workshops is to provide useful information that will help increase the order flow through rate and decrease the reject rate of our customers' Loop (UNE), Platform (UNE-P), and Resale requests. Achieving this objective may potentially:  Reduce the time spent by CLEC/Resellers ‘debugging’ requests that were submitted in error  Improve the end-to-end timeframe for requests to be processed Workshop Highlights  Workshops will be held monthly to educate Wholesale customers on:  The types of request errors that are found most frequently  How to avoid submitting requests with these errors  Workshops may use scenarios where workshop participants attempt to find the error in the request that was submitted  Workshops will focus on Local Service Request (LSR) transaction information that is useful to those CLECs and Resellers who are providing local services in the Verizon North and South regions of the former Bell Atlantic territory

5 5 March 2002 Workshop Purpose: Scenario #1: The purpose of this presentation is to clarify the process used to migrate an account to Platform Service, Option B in Pennsylvania.  Verizon currently has an end user named Angela Justice who lives in Philadelphia, PA.  Ms. Justice has 1 telephone line in her home.  Ms. Justice decides that she wants to switch her telephone service to CLEC XYZ.  CLEC XYZ submits an Option B Platform Migration As Is request, including the Local Service Request (LSR), End User (EU) forms.  CLEC XYZ’s Migration request is illustrated on the following page: Option B Platform (PA only) - Migration As Is

Collocation is not required.  There are 3 possible TOS choice when ordering Option B service: –1---BBus Option B service (B is in the 4th character) –2---BRes Option B service (B is in the 4th character) –1E-BBus Centrex Option B service (B is in the 4th character)  Option B Platform is offered at a lower monthly recurring rate. 13 13 March 2002 Workshop Description of the Error: Corrected Request:  USOC ON LSR NOT ON CSR - LSR IN QUERY –The submitted request is rejected because CLEC XYZ populated the PS form “FEATURE ” field with a USOC that is not on the account The USOC NSD does not exist on the customer’s account. The end user CSR indicates that the end user has Caller ID with Name (NNK) not Caller ID (NSD) –The appropriate USOC should be NNK.  CLEC XYZ reviews the CSR and determines that the correct USOC is NNK and submits a corrected LSR  CLEC XYZ’s corrected PS form is illustrated below: Resale / Platform Error Scenario - 7020WT02

18 18 March 2002 Workshop Description of the Error: Corrected Request:  Cut Through not available new date due is required - LSR in query –CLEC XYZ’s request is rejected because the cut through is not available at this address and the End User form reflects a WSOP (Working Service on Premises) “C”. The “N” in the Cut Through Indicator field shown on the pre-order address validation transaction indicates that the address is not eligible for Cut Through  CLEC XYZ submits a SUP 3 to remove the WSOP (Working Service on Premises) field from the request, changes the date due and resubmits the request.  The corrected LSR is illustrated on the next page.
