3 Introduction We chose to do this project about whisky, because this beverage is consumed by many but few truly know where it came from, how it produced and its variety.

4 Interesting facts There are more than 5000 types of Single Malt Whisky. A whisky stops maturing after it is bottled. After opening, a half-full bottle of whisky will remain good for five years. Whisky can be called Whisky only when it matured for a minimum of 3 years in oak casks. There is a dispute between the Irish and the Scotts, as to who were the first to make whisky.

8 Healthy drinking A large shot of whisky can help protect against heart disease. Whisky and red wine helped to protect against coronary heart disease by raising the body's level of anti-oxidants.
