THE ROLE OF INTELLIGENCE Intelligence is the ability to interpret and understand everyday situations and to use prior experiences when faced with new situations or problems. *Interactions with family members, availability of play things and encouragement can promote intelligence*

METHODS OF LEARNING Incidental Learning-unplanned Trial and error learning-trying solutions before finding one that works Imitation-watching and copying others Directed learning-learning that is taught
