3 Wellness and Physical Education Programs rated Recognized Students play soccer, shoot hoops and play basketball and participate in physical activities with their PE classes and during their lunch periods. There is also ping pong available inside. BROWNSVILLE EARLY COLLEGE HS

4 Community and Parental Involvement rated Exemplary We have parent meetings every other month and diverse topics are discussed. When parents indicate a particular interest, it is covered at the next meeting. Programs such as robotics and chess are supported by the parents and students have won numerous awards for their work. 8 Dropout Prevention Strategies rated Recognized BECHS does not want to lose even one student. Thus, classroom work centers around topical, student- involved activities. 9 Gifted and Talented Program rated Recognized All classes are taught at an advanced placement level.
