2. 22 Results Messaging (RM) Goal: Create a standardised messaging solution capable of sending results to the right place at the right time Standardised message content - result/reason/comment Solution with longevity for the NHS Easier to develop, deploy and update. Ultimately cheaper for all Expectations: Roll out across other UK Specimen Gate/Lifecycle sites Standard template for all companies involved from NSC Results: Standardised solution not multiple bespoke solutions. Standard messages using appropriate SNOMED codes CAP process was painful and would inhibit some laboratory/CH software suppliers. Needs reducing. Needs other CH software suppliers CAP approved or we have wasted investment

3. 33 Demographics National solution to a standard specification – this is what we want  Usable demographic data set  Easy/cheap to deploy and support  Central data feed – not connected to multiple CH departments  Scaleable if laboratories want to increase the geographical area screened. Options discussed  NN4B – tried to do this several years ago with Manchester. We were not allowed access to data set  Connect to CH direct – different formats, different companies added complexity  Direct to spine – similar to Results Messaging, data set limited.  New option taking an NN4B feed from Newborn Hearing program
