What is the Department of Labor? The Department of Labor is an agency that deals with everything that has to do with jobs. The labor department works with public and private sectors to create job opportunities, help workers find a job, and help businesses find skilled workers. Department of labor also offers unemployment insurance. This is a temporary income for eligible workers who lose their jobs through no fault of their own. The Department of Labor is the primary source of market information for work force and industry data, wages, jobs in demand, employment, unemployment, statistics, and training. How my work relates to my agriculture class? As you see, all my work has to do with paper. At my work place, paper is used for different reason. The Department of Labor provides their costumers with information printed on paper. Communication between them and costumers seeking services is first taken on paper, and then stored in a computer. Shredding paper benefits the environment because this paper can be recycled and reused. Thursday, June 02, 2016
