6. Punctuality…. Being late in the morning and therefore to Period 1 affects attendance in that subject and therefore the 5% rule still applies. Year 11 team all trained in UCAS Progress and will be offering support with college applications etc. in form. If your child isn’t there they will miss out on that support. Each form also has a pack of college information for students to look through during registration. Form time gives your child stability and a person they see every day who can support them. Not attending form distances these supportive relationships. 12 or more lates (this includes being late to lesson) and students will not qualify for the leavers’ dinner.

In response we have improved our support package for Y11 in the following ways: Implementing a mentoring programme immediately for boys October 2015 Mentoring programme for girls to follow early November A drop-in session is to be introduced school-wide at the end of October The students counsellor will be offering group sessions and individual sessions around stress management after the Christmas holidays (year 11s only) State of Mind will be delivering emotional resilience techniques to all year 11s Mr Klinck and Mr Bolton will produce a guide of generic revision tools but faculties will have a greater responsibility to deliver bespoke revision techniques.
