2.  EPCG is a term used in India under exports and imports. EPCG means, Export Promotion Capital Goods. EPCG is one of the schemes provided by government of India to importers and exporters to promote exports.  In simple and easy language, EPCG is a scheme related to machinery, machinery parts and similar goods.

3.  The importer has to approach for EPCG license from licensing authority – Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). Application for EPCG with necessary supporting documents is filed with DGFT. Based on the amount of import duty exemption, the value addition is fixed up and export obligation has to be fulfilled accordingly. If you could not complete the export obligation in time specified by licensing authority, you may be permitted to get extended the export obligation period for further period of time.

5.  Appoint Licensing Agent  Mail from Hotel with Performa Invoice to him  Hotel to provide HS Code  Prepare EPCG Application Online & Manual  Online Submission of EPCG Application  Documents sent to the Hotel for Signing  Filing of Manual Submission at DGFT for EPCG License  License Received & send to the Hotel With Bill.  Export Obligation period will start

6.  Hotel to send Original license to CHA for clearance of their Goods  After clearance, Goods will arrive at the Hotel Premises & will get Installed (technical requirement)  Hotel should ask C.E. for Installation Certificate (Foreign Exchange Earning will be counted from the date of Installation)

8.  Original License (in both copies)  Photocopy of Bill of Entry  Original Installation certificate from C.E.  Foreign Exchange Earning Statement  Photocopy of FIRC

9.  FIRC SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWING THINGS:  It should be duly Stamped & Signed on all Pages by the Banker.  Bankers Name & Employee Code should be mentioned on FIRC’s.  Hotel Company’s Name should be clearly mentioned on FIRC’s on whose favor the License has been Issued.

10.  Money Exchanger’s RBI Approved Copy & Encasement Certificate with Summary.  FIRC from Money Exchangers duly Stamped & Signed with Name & Employee Code.  FIRC should be on Money Exchangers Letterhead.
