1. Teacher guide Overall Learning Goals At the end of this lesson, the student should: Know that the intensity of light can be measured Learning Goal: Exercise 1 [which learning goals are met in exercise 1?] Learning Goal: Exercise 2 [which learning goals are met in exercise 2?] Learning Goal: Exercise 3 [which learning goals are met in exercise 3?] Learning Goal: Exercise 4 [which learning goals are met in exercise 4?]

Templates Type of exercises (1 – 5)

Multiple Choice Template Type of exercise:Multiple Choice Exercise number & title:[which exercise is this? What is the title of the exercise?] Question/problem main character [add text of main character formulated as the problem he/she needs help with solving] [Max 50 words] Activity 1: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Activity 2: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Activity 3: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Activity 4: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Activity 5: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Thank you by main character [provide text for main character to thank the user for his/her help] For each activity write one question and 3 or 4 answer options. One of the answer options is correct.

Slider Template Type of exercise:Multiple Choice Exercise number & title:[which exercise is this? What is the title of the exercise?] Question/problem main character [add text of main character formulated as the problem he/she needs help with solving] [Max 50 words] Activity 1: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Activity 2: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Activity 3: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Activity 4: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Activity 5: [Question/assignment] [right answer][wrong answer] Thank you by main character [provide text for main character to thank the user for his/her help] This template looks a lot like the multiple choice template. The difference is it’s presentation: The students get offered a slider which they can drag to indicate their answer. This is well suited for numbers (“drag the slider the the boiling temperature of water”) or up/down higher/lower types of questions.

True / False Template Type of exercise:True/False Exercise number & title:[which exercise is this? What is the title of the exercise?] Question/problem main character: [add text of main character formulated as the problem he/she needs help with solving] [Max 50 words] Activity 1:[text of statement][is the right answer true or false?] Activity 2:[text of statement][is the right answer true or false?] Activity 3:[text of statement][is the right answer true or false?] Activity 4:[text of statement][is the right answer true or false?] Activity 5:[text of statement][is the right answer true or false?] Thank you by main character [provide text for main character to thank the user for his/her help] For each activity make up a statement, which can be either true or false.

Drag & drop Template Type of exercise:Drag & drop Exercise: number & title:[which exercise is this? What is the title of the exercise?] Question/problem main character: [add text of main character formulated as the problem he/she needs help with solving] [Max 50 words] Activity 1: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Activity 2: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Activity 3: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Activity 4: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Activity 5: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Thank you by main character: [provide text for main character to thank the user for his/her help] Here the student can drag and drop objects to one or several categories. Think up one or more drop areas, and objects that need to be dropped. For example “drop all healthy foods on the plate” or “drag all animals to the place they live (drop locations: sea and land)”

Collage Template Type of exercise:Drag & drop Exercise: number & title:[which exercise is this? What is the title of the exercise?] Question/problem main character: [add text of main character formulated as the problem he/she needs help with solving] [Max 50 words] Activity 1: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Activity 2: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Activity 3: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Activity 4: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Activity 5: [Question/assignment] [which object(s) need to be dragged & dropped where?] Thank you by main character: [provide text for main character to thank the user for his/her help] Here the students build a collage/poster. This exercise is essentially a drag and drop exercise. The difference is that there is only one correct answer each activity. Once given this answer stays on screen for the rest of the exercise. The correct answers build the collage. For example “Animals that live in the sea” or a “healthy habits” poster.

Tick the box Template Type of exercise:Tick the box Exercise number & title:[which exercise is this? What is the title of the exercise?] Question/ problem main character: [add text of main character formulated as the problem he/she needs help with solving] [Max 50 words] Activity 1: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Activity 2: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Activity 3: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Activity 4: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Activity 5: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Thank you main character:[provide text for main character to thank the user for his/her help] For each activitiy make up one question and several answer options. One or several of the answer options are correct. These answers need to be selected by the student.

Hotspot Template Type of exercise:Tick the box Exercise number & title:[which exercise is this? What is the title of the exercise?] Question/ problem main character: [add text of main character formulated as the problem he/she needs help with solving] [Max 50 words] Activity 1: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Activity 2: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Activity 3: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Activity 4: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Activity 5: [Question/assignment] [possible answers][right answers] Thank you main character:[provide text for main character to thank the user for his/her help] An illustration is shown with objects that can be selected by clicking them. Each activity has a different assignment for the student. For example “select all animals that can fly” or “select the locations that are dangerous”. For each activity write a statement, all the objects that can be selected and the right answer options.

Matching Template Type of exercise:Matching Exercise: number & title:[which exercise is this? What is the title of the exercise?] Question/problem main character: [add text of main character formulated as the problem he/she needs help with solving] [Max 50 words] Activity 1: [Question/assignment] [describe objects/items that should be matched] [with what should the objects/items be matched?] Activity 2: [Question/assignment] [describe objects/items that should be matched] [with what should the objects/items be matched?] Activity 3: [Question/assignment] [describe objects/items that should be matched] [with what should the objects/items be matched?] Activity 4: [Question/assignment] [describe objects/items that should be matched] [with what should the objects/items be matched?] Activity 5: [Question/assignment] [describe objects/items that should be matched] [with what should the objects/items be matched?] Thank you by main character:[provide text for main character to thank the user for his/her help] For each activity make up several object pairs that need to be matched with each other. For example “match each object with its shadow”
