2. Welcome to Second Grade!  We are going to have an exciting year learning many new things and making lots of new friends along the way!

3. All About Me  I live in Flat Rock.  I am married to Jim.  We have two children that attend Flat Rock Schools. Jennah is 13 and in ninth grade and Jadyn is 12 and in seventh grade.  I have lived in Flat Rock most of my life and am a product of Flat Rock Schools.  My experience  I’ve been teaching for 2 years. I completed my student teaching here at Bobcean and also worked in RTI.

4. My Goals  To give students the academic and social skills needed to become life long learners.  To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment.  To help students make new friends and discover new interests.  Parent Communication

7. Writing  We will be writing in our classroom daily.  We will use The Lucy Calkins Writers Workshop.

8. Math  We use the Everyday Mathematics curriculum.  Home Links are used to reinforce the lessons taught.

9. Classroom Community  Our classroom is a community. In our community, we have expectations to allow academic success for each student. We follow PBIS:  Be respectful  Be responsible  Be safe
