6 Always practice Fire Prevention and Fire Safety all year round

7 Be smart about Fire Safety, Learn how to prevent fires

8 Call 911 when you have an emergency

9 Detectors save lives You should have a smoke detector on each floor of you house

10 EXITS - are ways out Know 2 ways out of every room in your house

11 FIRE ESCAPE PLAN Have a fire escape plan for your home and practice this plan with your family

12 GET OUT and STAY OUT If your house is on fire you need to Get Out and Stay Out

13 HAVE a family meeting place outside your home in case of fire

14 INSPECT your house for fire hazards. The whole family can help with this

15 Join in to prevent fires and promote fire safety in your community

16 KEEP AWAY from things that HOT! are HOT!

17 LEARN about 911 and the difference between an emergency and a non-emergency 911 is not for fun

18 MATCHES and Lighters are not toys If you find them, tell an adult. X X

19 NEVER be afraid of a firefighter, they are there to help and never hide from a firefighter
