2. Vocabulary Definitions Photography: the art or technique of exposing light to an electronic sensor or film. Exposure: The photograph or the end result of photography. Camera Settings: Aperture and shutter speed.

Shutter Speed: The speed of the shutter to control the amount of time during which the imaging medium is exposed to light for each exposure. Focus: The sharpening and softening of the parts of the image. Depth of Field: The amount of area that is in focus in the exposure. Defined as foreground, middle-ground and background.
