9. Must Haves!! No matter what piece your design is based upon, the rationale should include:  An analysis of the piece identifying design elements that will be evident in the new design, and how they will be re- interpreted.  A justification of how the themes of the play connect to the artwork, and a defense of the suitability of the artwork to the play.
