5 What is a Global Project and why should I participate in one? Using technology supports creativity and prepares our students to become global citizens NCLB advocates believe that a curriculum centered on math and reading is the correct path, coupled with high stakes testing to ensure accountability. Others believe that testing limits our ability to foster creativity and critical thinking. Regardless of your opinion, many people think that teaching globalization provides an excellent opportunity for students to develop critical thinking skills and habits. Future problem solving will require seeing connections across geographical, cultural, economical, and political lines. Studying globalization gives us the framework to begin this process.
