Winter Squash So many kinds!

Do you know the difference between winter squash and summer squash? All kinds of squash grow on a vine. When you plant a seed in the spring, you get a big plant with lots of squash! Summer squash is harvested early, and we eat the tender skin. Zucchini is a summer squash. Winter squash is harvested late, and the skin becomes a hard rind. We can store it to eat in the winter.
