1. This presentation is provided for the users of DCAMS. It can be used as a refresher type training or for those that have never used the program to become familiar with using the the DCAMS program from the laptop. Help / Training / POC Tip 004: DCAMS 01 Launch from the laptop This presentation runs in an automatic setup requiring no input from the user. Timing has been set at a beginner pace (down arrow may be used for faster timing).

2. The laptops are mounted on a shock resistant mount in the Damage Control Repair Stations (DCRS) and DCC/CCS. Some ships have an additional laptop for administrative purposes. External monitors are provided for easier viewing. Screens are simulated

3. After turning the laptop on, the user will be in Windows. Locate the DCAMS quick launch (round blue circle with yellow triangle inside) Double click

4. After double-clicking the quick launch button, a launch status screen will appear. Below the triangle is a status bar showing progress.

5. Profile View Deck Plan View The ship’s version of DCAMS will appear. The user maneuvers around the ship by moving the curser inside the Profile view (top left) and the Deck Plan view (large view on bottom with each deck)

7. By “Right-clicking” in the Profile view, the user can see multiple overlays like the AOR, Decon Sta, DC equip, Electrical, WDCM, and CPS

8. Continue maneuvering around the ship using the Profile view and the Deck Plan view buttons on the side of each. Also “Right-click” inside a compartment and outside of the ships hull to see additional features. This concludes the DCAMS Launch training presentation.
