2. We arrived at this place, it was smelly and it was worse then the train! I think it was a camp…this Is not what I pictured.

3. A man is yelling at my mother and I to go one way while another man is yelling at the rest of my family. Their going the other way.

4. I arrive in a room with men tattooing a number on my arm and then shaving all of my hair off.

5. My mother and I are used for slavery and soon we were infected by many diseases and we were sent to the infirmary. It was cold and filled with mice, I felt sick just looking at the people in the room. Unfortunately my mother was dying of disease … that was the last time I saw her.

6. Thankfully this disease does not kill me. But the pain from losing my mother almost does.

7. I worked as a slave for 4 years and had many more brushes with death.

8. Then these men came and took some of us away, I thought I was heading to another camp wear I would meet my end.

9. I was wrong, these men were here to save me.

10. When this disaster ended I try not to think of what happened to my family, and just try to think that I'm lucky I'm alive.

11. But I am always wondering why this happened when it could have been so easily prevented.

12. All I can do now is hope people have learned ……..
