Turtles homework – Wednesday 18 th September 2013 Problem solving activity – Patterns and sequencing Every other homework will be a maths problem solving challenge – so read the problem below carefully, and try to find ALL the possible answers. ALL HOMEWORK INCLUDING SPELLINGS AND CHECKERS IN BY MONDAY 23 rd SEPTEMBER. Mr Gardner and Mr. Platts were making sticks from multilink cubes you can see below. Mr Gardner made the blue sticks two cubes long. Mr Platts made the red sticks three cubes long. Mr Gardner wanted to put his blue sticks end to end to make different-sized lines. Mr Platts put his red sticks end to end in a line underneath Mr Gardner's the same length. How many ways can they make lines that are exactly the same length?
