2. Snow Leopard, Asia, is endangered due to Hunting. Hunters are selfish and kill this endangered mammal for their fur. Although selling snow leopard fur is illegal, it is on- going and continues, threatening the snow leopard's existence. An estimated 3,000- 10,000 are left in the wild. Most common threats are: Poaching for the fur trade loss of habitat caused by deforestation and dam projects loss of food sources Changing environmental conditions. The meerkat lives in the savannah and grasslands and extensive deforestation has led to them being over hunted and eaten by birds such as eagles, and has left them at risk. The only natural predators that Leopard Seals have are some species of sharks and most commonly, killer whales.
