3 Plan Changes for Project Based Vouchers Proposed change to Background Check Escobedo at Verde Vista Phase II & La Mesita Apartments LP Phase I have requested a change to the criminal activities background check criteria for their property.

4 Plan Changes for Project Based Vouchers Proposed change to Preference Weights Page 17-31 Staff is requesting that the weight of the PBV preferences be changed to the following. Chronically Homeless – 2 pts Mesa (live or work) – 1 pt This will sort the waiting list with chronically homeless families to be assisted first, which is a requirement for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC).

5 Plan Changes for Project Based Vouchers Proposed change to Escobedo Preferences Page 17-32 Escobedo at Verde Vista Phase II Mesa preference – no change Homeless preference – change according to their LIHTC homeless definition New Income Eligibility – to be eligible for the assistance and tenancy we will require families gross income not exceed the 30% Area Median Income, (ELI- extremely low income)

7 Plan Changes for Consistency Consistency Change Page 17-50 Clarification – The PHA “may” make vacancy payments to the owner up to two months upon PHA approval.
