Turkey – “The Land Registry and Cadastre Information System (TABKIS) in Turkey” E-government projects for NSDI in TURKEY Ongoing projects – land registry and Cadastre Information System Pilot phase and 2 nd phase of Land Registry and Cadastre Information System are completed New system is implemented in few offices, fully implementation will be finished at the end of 2011 More than 50 disciplines are going to use this system Transfer of Title in one day in one-stop-shop principle WPLA Workshop in Antalya, in October 2010

Austria – “Upgrading Cooperation Mechanisms between Land Registry and Cadastre in Austria” Old but well operating land administration system (still papers and time delays) Planning to implement new Real Estate Database (August 2010) Modernization of processes Competences of Ministry of Justice and Federal office of Metrology and Surveying will not change

Greece – “The Importance of Cadastre for Citizens’ Everyday Life and Its Value for Democracy” Access to land and regularization of land to support to democracy Rapid urbanization creates need for action now Need to build proper infrastructure for good governance FIG 3 and WPLA cooperation Joint work to prepare the publication on the “Self Made Cities” and “Urbanization aspects”

REM – “The REM Policy Framework for Sustainable Real Estate Markets” Principles useful to measure your country activities to see if you are complying with good practice, especially on guidance related to transparency, real estate valuation and risk assessment. Study will be available on the website soon Printed versions will be available in Minsk and Dessau workshops REM is planning to continue discussion on the principles and further focus its programme of work on the ten principles discussed in the framework Feedback is welcome
