Ohio Social Studies Standards Web-Sites and Activities for Grades 3-5

INTRODUCTION Integrating technology into the curriculum aides in addressing all learning styles. This presentation will highlight 5 web sites and activities for each strand from the Ohio Social Studies Model. Students will be able to use these web sites and activities to enhance their knowledge and comprehension of Social Studies.

Web-Site Time Travelers http://www.ohiokids.org/ Activity Students can recreate the Ohio Village and invite parents and grandparents to visit and share stories about life when they were young.

CONCLUSION The integration of technology helps to address multiple learning styles. These web-sites and activities will help meet the ultimate goal of the Ohio Social Studies Model by enhancing the quality of Social Studies learning.
