State of play UECBV, Eurogroup for Animals, Animals Angels, IRU, ELT and FVE endorsed the draft guidelines. COPA-COGECA decided not to proceed with such an initiative due to the lack of an unanimous consensus among their members and therefore did not endorse the draft guidelines. The WG Sec. asked the European Commission for help for the final edition, translation and diffusion of the document whose vocation is to be widely distributed to all European operators of the bovine sector, in order to improve compliance with requirements of Regulation (EC) 1/2005 and especially those of Annex I, Chapter I. The Commission are discussing if the guidelines are in line with the SANCO view on animal welfare during transport.
