Progress or retrogression? What is the most impressive change? Maybe the most impressive change is the admitting of athletes. Does the change mean progress? Both male and female athletes can take part whatever country he/she comes from and whatever skin color he/she has, which shows progress in the equality between men and women among different peoples.

1. What amazes Pausanias about the Olympic Games? Answer the following questions. Pausanias is amazed because many countries take part in the Olympic Games and women too and there are two sets of Games – the Winter and the Summer Olympics.
