8 Honesty and integrity are near the top of most companies’ soft skills lists! Would you exaggerate to get a better job? Many students we interview “pad” skills and qualifications.

10 Conceptual skills are critical for moving up the career ladder Conceptual training often includes rotation to a variety of departments to understand what each does and how they fit together Conceptual skills replace technical skills as one moves up the career ladder

12 How can I get relevant job experience when I am applying for my first job?

13  Emphasize what you have learned in internships and co-op programs  Package the experience you do have effectively  Describe the skills you gained in any type of job and relate what was learned that is transferable to the job you seek
