We will be learning how to count coins Quarters Dimes Nickels Pennies Use a decimal point for coins (.) Use a dollar sign for bills (4)

Quarters are worth 25 cents Each quarter adds 25 cents. These six quarters would equal….25 +.25.25.25= $1.50

Dimes are worth 10 cents To add dimes count by ten. Ten dimes are worth $1.00.

Nickels are worth 5 cents When counting nickels, count by five. Twenty nickels equals $1.00.

Pennies are worth 1 cent Pennies simply add one. 100 pennies equal $1.00
