2. WHAT IS A CONJUNCTION? A conjunction is a sentence joiner.

8. SUBORDINATING CONJUNCTIONS When a sentence starts with a subordinate conjunction, you must add a comma at the end of the subordinate clause.

9. SUBORDINATING CONJUNCTIONS If a subordinating conjunction appears in the middle of a sentence, do not use a comma.

10. SUBORDINATING CONJUNCTIONS Comma: When Mrs. Castor gets home, she has to let her dogs outside. No Comma: Mrs. Castor has to let her dogs outside when she gets home.

11. As soon as you copy these conjunctions, compose six sentences. Three (3) must use the subordinating conjunction at the beginning of the sentences. Three (3) must use the subordinating conjunction in the middle/end of the sentence.
