6. “The root of the problem is I am a very skeptical person to begin with. Perhaps that is why I enjoyed Math so much, because 99% of the time I could know with a great deal of certainty that a solution to a problem could be proven to be correct or incorrect. I know of no one who can prove to me that God exists. They can point out the complexity of the universe and other things that might lend some degree of credibility to the notion of a creator and ask what better explanation do you have but to my knowledge no proof exists. They can quote scriptures from the bible and cite numerous miracles and fulfilled prophecies but again I struggle with the fact that the inspired word of God that we rely on was translated by men and this, again, requires a faith that I struggle to attain. I can want to believe, as I do but at least for now it is not enough for me.”
