Project “Michurinskiye Apples: From Century to Century” European Innovative Teachers Forum 2009 Authors4 teachers of School 2, Michurinsk, Russia Formation of the research competence of students. Development of students’ educational motivation. Formation of the system of integrated and generalized knowledge about the surrounding world. Demonstration of interconnections of different subjects. Acquisition of experience of making independent decisions, giving arguments to your ideas, presenting the results of your work in public. With the helping of the teacher they carry out theoretical and practical research which result can be presented in the form of the message on the stand, computer representation, bulletin, website. Project “Michurinskiye Apples: From Century to Century” European Innovative Teachers Forum 2009 Teacher Planning and Management Michurinsk - naukograd gardenings of the Russian Federation. One of directions of modern gardening - creation new, biologically and dietic valuable kinds of apple-trees. In the project we have considered the work. Of Michurin on deducing kinds of the apple-trees situated in the Central - Chernozem zone, their value in modern gardening and characteristics of some qualities. Project “Michurinskiye Apples: From Century to Century” European Innovative Teachers Forum 2009 Teaching Resources The didactic manual for pupils: Includes simple techniques of laboratory experiences by definition of the maintenance of vitamin C, tables for processing statistical data, the questionnaire for the townspeople. Strategies for an execution the laboratory work: The laboratory works includes recommendations by definition organoleptic properties apples. The teacher's presentation helps schoolchildren to choose the most interesting fruit crop.

Project “Michurinskiye Apples: From Century to Century” European Innovative Teachers Forum 2009 Preparatory Stage We held two-hour « brain storm » during which we solved questions: The a problem of research; The creative name of the project; Sources of the information (not forgetting about protection of copyrights). We formed created creatively groups and had distributed duties. We visited chemical laboratory of Pedagogical Institute. Documents SeptemberSeptember 2006 OctoberOctober Visited the house-museum of Michurin, acquaint with responses of native and foreign citizens about life and creativity of the scientist. We translated records of German tourists. We made the "travel" on gardens of Michurinsk. We learned the kinds of apple cultures, their productivity and prospects of development. NovemberNovember Members held sociological interrogation of the population about sorts of apple-trees of Michurin. The results of interrogation were formed in tables and were analysed. What is the differences between the object and the subject of research? What is more important productivity of apple-trees or their flavouring and dietary qualities? We lead repeated experiment by definition of the maintenance of vitamin C in apple-tree fruits and then have analysed the obtained data.
