4 For example: 1 mile per half hour.
To find unit rate, divide the number in the numerator by the number in the denominator. (Remember all rates can be written as fractions or complex fractions.) For example: 1 mile per half hour. 1 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒 1 2 ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑟 =1 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒 ÷ 1 2 ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑟=2 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒𝑠 𝑝𝑒𝑟 ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑟

6 Find each unit rate and determine which is greater.
Pickle Brand A contains 240 mg sodium for 1/3 pickle. Pickle Brand B contains 325 mg sodium for ½ pickle. Ingredient A uses ¼ cup for 2/3 serving. Ingredient B uses 1/3 cup for ¾ serving.
