Useful Terms Digital library - a thoughtfully organized collection of resources and resource records that are digitally stored and accessed via computer networks. Resource – a document, web page, or interactive activity that a person can use for learning and teaching. Metadata - Information that describes a learning and teaching resource, used by librarians to catalog and find different items in a collection. Metadata is also used by search engines to locate and retrieve information from the Internet. Record - A place where metadata is stored and viewed by different users like catalogers and educators
