2 Introduction In 1974, political issue cause Cyprus divided into two regions North and South belonging to Turkish and to Greek respectively; this separation causes some imposed immigration for many people and also bring about some disaster for both part of Cyprus. Famagusta located in north part of the island was the most important harbor causing many trading and business. The political issue cause some part of the old city supported by United Nation and preserve for the owner which imposed to immigrate to the south. the government granted some other part of the city to the people called Open Marash. Consequently people are living in the buildings which is not constructed based on their needs and desires so they made some changes in functions, abandoned some spaces, or attached some area to the building which all of these changes bring about some problem whether for the visionary, or users. The aim of this presentation is to reveal the reason of some changes and show the everyday architecture alters. A Brief Description:

3 Introduction While you are passing the streets of Open Marash, the first thing comes to your mind is the reasons of their inappropriate current situation of living spaces. On the other hand abounded lands as forbidden part of the city is another issue makes bothers for your vision and mind as well. There are some criteria causes changing the situation as follow: A. There are some useless spaces: - Inhabitants don’t feel sense of belongings - They don’t have any accessibility to them. - Sometimes inhabitant don’t require to these spaces. B. There are some changes - different people requirement C. There are some attached places - new people requirement (structural / furniture scale)
