SC ATE Ad-Hoc SC-ATE_Ad-Hoc-20060116-001 Page 3 White paper (ref: SC-20051031-025R01) Include study on short coming or inefficiency of current IMS and way to enhance IMS architecture and achieve NGN harmonization in connection with wired/wireless convergence degree of backward compatibility and/or interoperability with existing and evolved cdma2000 systems and it’s impact on cost and performance degree of interoperability with other technologies such as 802.11, UWB and etc technologies to guarantee the end-to-end QoS to support various real time multimedia services any potential candidate modulation/coding/multiplexing technologies including but not limited to cdma2000 enhancement, OFDM, OFDM-CDMA, TDD and etc. new technologies such as smart antennas, software defined radio and other technologies in order to further enhance performance, cost and/or convenience target carrier bandwidth and supporting data speed for each and/or combined technologies from above

SC ATE Ad-Hoc SC-ATE_Ad-Hoc-20060116-001 Page 4 SRD (ref: SC-20051031-025R01) Produce detailed and attainable end-to-end system requirements and system performance parameters based on the technical studies in the White paper System requirements and parameters should be focused on end-to-end performance rather that air interface performance Interface requirements on how we guarantee the compatibility between cdma2000 including future evolution of cdma2000 and other standards or technologies developed outside 3GPP2 The target date for the considered system should be around 2010- 2011(commercial launch) Adhoc activities should not delay current work on near to midterm cdma2000 evolution Technologies studied in the adhoc should be for reference only
